Initial Problem Description

Galoha's flagship product, a Spanish version of the Aloha shirt in Hawaii, is not quickly perceived as a serious product in the Spanish market: a product that masterfully blends fashion, elegance, heritage and quality, a cultural icon, full of stories, spirit and purpose. This happens both online and offline.

Context

Galoha is a storytelling fashion brand that tells stories, and is influenced by the cosmopolitan lifestyle and the nature, culture and seafaring tradition that exist in Spain. Although it began focused on Hawaiian-style shirts with Galician motifs, the brand is today a fashion collection and has a universal theme. The brand's vision is led by the idea of a fashion brand that tells stories with each design and that reflects the value and beauty of nature, culture and seafaring tradition. Galoha's flagship product is a Spanish version of the Aloha shirt in Hawaii. The Galoha shirts are designed following the art-creative process of the authentic Aloha shirt from Hawaii, with its main pillar: Each Galoha shirt tells a story of our natural, cultural, and seafaring heritage.

Connection to cross-cutting areas

Galoha is connected to Sustainability because its purpose is to help take care of and spread the value and the beauty of our nature, culture and seafaring tradition. The brand works with leaders and organisations at the point of origin of the themes and motifs that cover in its designs. The brand uses organic cotton, and focuses on using local materials and producing locally.

Input

We would love for Galoha to be at a cross roads of culture preservation, sustainability and fashion. We envision Galoha to have three divisions: Galoha as a fashion brand, Galoha Films where documentary films and content are produced for mainstreaming, and Galoha Events to support nature, culture and tradition workshops in schools and universities.
