Office of the future: tech to wellbeing

Desired outcome

The future of work is rapidly changing. With tech innovations and connectivity on one hand but also with employee wellbeing and people-centricity on the other. The offices of the future will have to be equipped accordingly. The usual set: Desk, PC, printer will not be enough.
From smart desks, to smart monitors and virtual reality to natural light, greens and sounds.
We as technical equipment provider are looking in that direction, to see how it is already changing, how will it change further on and how are we going to change our portfolio of products.

Initial Problem Description

We would like to plan our future product portfolio according to trends, but don’t really know what does SME’s think about them.
We would like to understand how do SME's (in our region) think of the office of the future. How “smart” the office will be? Which type of technoilogical equipment they foresee to use? Which tech equipment are they already using or planning to invest in in the near future and why.
On the other hand, we would like to understand how are they planning the offices with the focus on employee well-being? Natural lights and sounds, greens and other to make employees feel well in the high paced business environment.
Is all that going to help them achieve a better success, or it’s just a modern buzzword?

Context

The context of the problem is the intersection of different trends - tech and connectivity (with the World becoming one place, remote work etc) and the focus on green and employee well-being.
We as product resellers would like to help our partners and companies in our region do the next step towards this future. The thing we do observe though is, the companies as for now mostly focus on their day-to-day operations, so have no "ears" for that topics. Understanding their thinking and the points where they would be willing to listen to us, will help us to help them.

Connection to cross-cutting areas

It's directly helping us understand how to help companies be more sustainable and more technologically advanced from office equipment side.

Becoming more sustainable is a multidimensional thing, and we tend to forget the investment needed behind everything and the connection of it to the company's business model.

Understanding which equipment in that direction are they already ready to invest in, we would be able to do a step ahead in that direction.

Input

We created the ideal vision of the office and equipment needed, but it certainly has to be updated based on market analysis and test.
Our priorities when creating the product portfolio are: equipment for better information and documentation flow (from smart monitors towards vr googles and more) on one hand, on the other the equipment needed to bring some nature into the office (natural lights, sounds etc.). Connected through equipment for a healthier work (smart standing desks …) and flexibility.

Expectations

I expect to get a clear overview and segmentation of the SME's from Primorska region in terms of their needs and views on the topic. Moreover I would expect a point of view on the equipment we already offer (how is it connected to trends?) and a suggestion on the next steps to be performed so that we will be able to upgrade our product offering.
From the team I expect an open minded approach and dedication through innovation and team building. Connection with me will be required in a regular interval.

Desired Team Profile

I guess two types of background would be more than welcome:
1. economic background, with the focus on market and trends analysis so that they will be able to make the market research and connect it with trends, make suggestion out of it.
2. Economic background, for business modeling, and sales funnel description
3. Technical background from computer science or electrical engineering so they will be able to shape the smart tech connectivity ideas
