Contactless temperature sensor

Desired outcome

Our company develops and manufactures electric motors with high power density.
Temperature is measured in stator of electric motor, directly on the copper windings, however, we don't have any temperature sensing on the rotor. This would be extremely welcome in many applications where our motors are installed.
Some of our clients use IR sensors, but this option is expensive and not highly reliable.

Also induction sensors exist, but we would rather go in a direction where classic temperature probe is attached to the rotor, and it emits its signal about resistance or temperature data to its monitor or controller.

We are open to solutions and ideas, also ideas outside the described ones above.

Initial Problem Description

Because temperature in our electric motors is measured only in stator part, we can only assume what is the temperature in the rotor part.
But the problem is because our motors operate in totally different environments. Problems with rotor overheating can appear in case the motor is operating in environment where ambient temperatures are high and motor bay doesn't provide sufficient fresh air ventilation.

This is the case in many marine applications where motor is installed in compartment which is completely sealed because of potential water ingress.
Another client we have produces mining vehicles and motors operate in mines where humidity and ambient temperature is very high (50-50°C) due to different machines heating up small volume of air.
Also, dusty and dirty environment can make end users to close and seal motor to protect it from harm effects from environment.

We don't have specific trends or instructions at this stage, so we would require initial concept and idea development. One possible concept could be a contact solution using a classic temperature probe, such as a PT1000, that enables contactless, wireless communication of temperature data to its monitoring system. This would allow for easy integration and monitoring without the need for direct physical connections, offering flexibility and efficiency in temperature sensing applications. We're open to exploring this concept further and refining it based on feasibility and performance.

We don't have any special requirements or conditions, although we think the most appropriate would be candidates with mechanical engineering or electrical engineering background.
It is required that candidates will be open to new ideas and they have ambition for new knowledge and development.
As the best solution will not be developed immediately, persistence is also required.
