Development, compilation of 3D printing industry problems into a form that will be an information base for creating applications for mobile devices and more. Social media channels and tools using artificial intelligence are to be used to collect, develop and verify data.
Initial Problem Description
The 3D printing industry is a new industry that is constantly undergoing intensive development. Creating a knowledge base containing a library of encountered problems and their potential solutions will allow for accelerating the development of this industry. When using 3D printing technology, problems occur at every stage of its application, e.g. design, material, technological, hardware, software and others.
Context
Many people starting activities with 3D printing technologies encounter obstacles and problems that are common and repetitive. Creating an information base based on real-world problems, which can be expanded and supplemented with repetitive and new cases will contribute to accelerating the 3D printing industry.
Connection to cross-cutting areas
The solutions developed can be used in the area of digitization. Implementation of the developed challenge solutions will also allow for waste reduction, and thus reduction of the carbon footprint, by not generating waste and reducing energy and raw material consumption. The target application solution can be developed and raised to the next levels.
Input
Openness to all proposals for solutions. There are no limits to ideas and initiatives. A preliminary scenario of action has been prepared, which can be completely modified. The proposed scenario is also intended to introduce the implemented challenge. The creativity and ideas of the team count during the implementation of the project.
Expectations
The developed information will constitute input for the preparation of an interdisciplinary application expanding knowledge or solving problems in the area of additive technologies using polymer, metal and ceramic materials. An information base that will allow their compilation in the form of an application. Creativity and commitment are expected.

Young people currently have sufficient knowledge and skills to implement the project. There are no limits to the targeted education. Interdisciplinarity will be helpful because it can provide unplanned solutions. Engineering directions may have an easier path to entering the subject. Social and artistic directions can enrich and diversify the solutions developed.

To implement the challenge, access to social media and AI tools will be needed. Artificial intelligence (AI) in 3D printing is a breakthrough in the way elements are created, manufactured and optimized. AI can generate more advanced, lightweight and accessible structures that are difficult to apply using traditional methods. AI algorithms, tools for automatic creation of effects, analyze material parameters such as residues, control devices, and adjust models to obtain effects that are available. AI also allows the printing process to be turned off in time, detecting disruptions such as deformations, temperature changes or nozzle problems. Thanks to this, it is possible to immediately correct errors, which ensures the quality of prints and final products. Moreover, artificial intelligence supports automation processes, provides a faster air version at lower costs, which opens up new opportunities in industries such as aerospace, automotive or medicine.
