Desired outcome
We want to improve the system of familiarizing ourselves with production documentation in order to ensure the highest standards for our customers. We need a system in which we will store documentation and be able to confirm that we have read it, so that each operator can work in accordance with the highest standards necessary to meet the expectations of our customers.
Initial Problem Description
We want to ensure a smooth flow of process documentation, so that the instructions at the production station are always up to date, and force the operator to read the instructions. If the operator does not read the instructions, he should not be allowed to work. Failure to read the documentation may result in failure to meet the customer's requirements.
Context
Before starting work at a specific position, production operators must read and confirm the current documentation. The system must provide the ability to update the documentation and force the operator to read it. Currently, operators are familiar with paper instructions, which must be constantly checked to ensure they are up to date. Reading the instructions by signing them allows you to work if you are not familiar with them.
Connection to cross-cutting areas
Our challenge is directly related to industry 4.0 and the development of digitalization. Creating a system for automatic document circulation and confirming their readability increases the efficiency of processes related to documentation handling. It ensures smooth, fast and reliable documentation handling while reducing the number of people handling the process. Forcing the user to read the documentation excludes the operator's lack of knowledge and the need for an additional person to check the knowledge.
Input
We need an application that can be implemented in the company's internal network so that employees responsible for creating instructions and updates can add them to the application. However, production employees had to read them via a tablet/computer station. We would like to combine this with, for example, access cards, so that each operator would have to uniquely confirm that he or she has read the instructions.
Additionally, updates would have to be communicated to operators so that they would also have to become familiar with the new information while working.
Expectations
We expect to receive information from the IT industry on how to best digitize the process. What do we need to prepare for this process to take place? What are the requirements for such a project. What is the scope of investment in terms of purchasing new devices. We are open to proposals and suggestions for implementing the solution.
Desired Team Profile
In our opinion, the team should include people related to the IT industry, however, people related to the manufacturing industry (injection) are welcome so that they can learn to understand production workers and be able to respond to the needs of project managers, executives and production operators.
Additional Information
We do not know any companies offering solutions that would meet our expectations. We want our application to be supported for a long time and allow for possible modifications in the future without violating copyrights, etc. Implementing such a solution will enable us to provide our customers with the highest quality product in the long term and prevent possible complaints.
