Desired outcome
Chrysalis LEAP is a start-up Accelerator based in Cyprus with 10 years of operation. During these 10 years our network of partners and collaborators has expanded, making it time consuming to keep up with news and articles related to them so the need for a monitoring tool that could scan websites using specific keywords became very apparent.
Initial Problem Description
With the constant growth and expansion of, not only the Chrysalis LEAP network and partners, but the media landscape in general, it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with all articles that mention Chrysalis LEAP or are related to its network. This has resulted in either missing some publications completely, or coming across them months after their release. Having an Online Media Monitoring Tool that will automatically search online daily for specific keywords will help us immensely since currently we are doing the work manually, which is not only time consuming but also ineffective since it's impossible to go through all the results.
Context
In the last few months we came across articles and interviews of close collaborators where they either mention Chrysalis LEAP or are of interest to us and we missed them upon publication. This is also the case with news and interviews related to start-ups supported by Chrysalis LEAP. These are articles we would love to share with our audience on our Social Media accounts and show support to people within our network that have always supported Chrysalis LEAP.
Connection to cross-cutting areas
The challenge is directly connected to the area of digitization since the solution required for our challenge could be a software, a bot or a browser add on that can scan online for specific keywords or a combination of keywords (eg, Chrysalis LEAP) and return the results to us in the form of a list with clickable links in order to review.
Input
There are a few Media Monitoring Tools in the market that monitor everything from online press, traditional press (newspapers) and TV and Social Media mentions. This type of tool is is not really a good fit for us since it works on a yearly or monthly subscription model. We usually don't get a lot of mentions so this is not something that it's economically beneficial to us since we mainly have a need for online and traditional media (newspapers) monitoring few times a year.
Expectations
We would like to be able to be informed and receive in a timely manner any online publication related to Chrysalis LEAP and it's network. We expect that the team will approach this challenge in an innovative way and provide us with the solution required to address this as well as their own input and ideas that could differ from what we have in mind but still be able to solve our challenge.
Desired Team Profile
A background in computer science, IT, software development and other similar sectors is a must since the solution is a software/ bot or browser add on. The team, should also have analytical and critical thinking in order to be able to approach the challenge in an innovative way. We are open to receiving a different solution that differs form what we initially have thought.
Additional Information
Chrysalis LEAP will help and support the team with any questions and clarifications they might need. Throughout the duration of the project we will have calls with the teams in regular intervals that will be decided between us and the team at our initial meeting to ensure that the teams has everything the need to procced with their solution and deliver everything in a timely manner.
