Development of additional services in a traditional bar caffee

Desired outcome

Focus of this challenge is on developing additional services, that should be provided in the traditional bar caffee.
While the latter are currently places to drink, eat and socialise, teams should investigate (market analysis) which services visitors would also like to see in bar caffee. Emphasis should be on services from the field of medicine, therapy, prevention and diagnostics, but they should not be limited to only them. Creative ideas are more than welcome.

Initial Problem Description

Most physical bar caffees have traditional set of services (drinks, food, some other activities), but usually not much difference can be found among them.
To provide something new, teams should investigate needs of the visitors, what are their wishes, what activities they would like to take part in, etc.
Idea is to provide something new, that would combine pleasant activities with beneficial ones. For example, while they would be drinking coffee, some therapy should also take place.

Context

The issue with traditional set of services is present on a daily level and in almost all bar caffees.
People like to socialise and visit bar caffees, but to provide them the next level of experience, additional services should be presented (based on their needs and with a focus on beneficial effects on them).

Connection to cross-cutting areas

New additional services in the traditional bar caffee are connected with the General Sustainability through health condition. For example, more satisfied people are less affected to stressful situations and with that to diseases.

Additionally, the services are connected with Digitalisation, since services in a field of medicine and therapy, mostly utiliize electronic equipment and digital devices.

Input

As a basis, traditional scenario, when visitor comes to bar caffee, should be taken into the account.
First visitor goes to specific table, then orders drinks and food, and at the end pays for the service.
This scenario should be upgraded in a way, that visitor should select in advance (for example when entering bar caffee), which set of services they should want (diagnostics, therapy, etc.). The staff would lead him to the proper location in the bar caffee, while also taking order for traditional services (food, drinks). Here should be emphasized, that these additional services would be offered at the same time as traditional ones (not all visitors would be interested in them).
In general, teams should provide (1) set of additional services, that would be provided, and (2) scenarios, how they would be offered. Different situations should be envisioned - from entering to leaving bar caffee (with all steps in between).

Expectations

The main target group would be visitors (40 years and more), but teams should also investigate in which services younger people would be interested.
The solution should provide set of different additional services with explanation, why they were selected, who are the target groups, how they should be provided, requirements, etc.

Desired Team Profile

Teams are recommended to have students of medicine and therapy, but that is not a requirement for a team to be selected. Different skills and ideas are here the relevant ones.

Creativity and innovative level will be considered as the most important factor, when deciding which teams will be selected for the development of the solution.

Additional Information

General knowledge of the usual services in the traditional bar caffees is recommended, but that should be used as a basis for the development of the new ones. Teams should investigate the needs and available options on the market, but also to consider which new services could be implemented in bar caffee.

For the development of the solution up to three teams will be selected.
