The Global Perfusion Gaming Tournament

Desired outcome

If you choose to embrace this challenge, you'll have to conceptualize and orchestrate a global gaming tournament tailored for cardiovascular perfusion students. Your objective: to construct a marketing campaign that not only captures the interest of potential participants, including universities and schools of perfusion, but also entices them to engage in competitive play using our state-of-the-art online virtual cardiopulmonary bypass simulator, and video game, virCPB.

Initial Problem Description

This challenge seeks to address the global underexposure of our inaugural product, virCPB, highlighting its broader applications beyond basic training. Our goal is to convey that it serves not only as a heart-lung machine training tool but also facilitates fair school competitions, a potential accreditation tool for CEUs, and stands as a distinguished badge of honor.

Context

Perfusion students face challenges in accessing high-fidelity simulations and have limited shadowing opportunities. Our product, virCPB, bridges this gap, offering an essential tool to enhance their training experiences. We aim to raise global awareness about virCPB's role in overcoming these barriers. Moreover, as perfusion education varies widely across countries, our tool provides a unified, blended learning experience on a global scale, promoting consistency and excellence in perfusion training.

Connection to cross-cutting areas

Our challenge aligns with Industry 4.0 and digitalization. Our virtual cardiopulmonary bypass simulator, virCPB, embodies digital innovation, providing a cutting-edge solution to enhance training experiences for perfusion students globally. By embracing digitalization, we not only bridge accessibility gaps but also contribute to the sustainability of perfusion education, ensuring a more interconnected and technologically advanced future for the industry.

Input

This tournament introduces an unprecedented format, creating an innovative space for students to engage with challenges and solutions in ways that have never been done before in the perfusion field. Through this unique experience, participants have the opportunity to revolutionize the landscape of cardiovascular perfusion education.

Expectations

We foresee the solution evolving into an innovative marketing campaign that goes beyond conventional approaches, we will be welcoming all out-of-the-box ideas. Our aspiration is for this to become an annual community event for years to come. We also look forward to participants having fun throughout the process!

Desired Team Profile

We value a diverse range of skills and academic backgrounds: marketing expertise, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the healthtech and healthcare sector. We especially welcome creative minds with insights into global education trends, the SaaS market, and Industry 4.0. However, individuals passionate about our project, even if their skills don't precisely align, will also be considered with enthusiasm.

Additional Information

Teams will be given information about the current competitive landscape, technological trends in healthtech, and a nice understanding of our niche market. Throughout the challenge, mentoring will be provided not only for addressing the task at hand but also to enhance comprehension of our target audience.
