Design of the future production line.
Initial Problem Description
The future production line. Fully automated in one version. In the second version, a test production method, where activities and supervision are carried out by humans, supported by any mechanical systems. All mechanical elements, servomechanisms, lever systems, cams, etc. are allowed.
The purpose of the line is to precisely fill containers with a volume of up to 20 ml with photosensitive liquid.
The container into which the liquid is poured is made of soft plastic, and after pouring the liquid, make sure that there are no air bubbles in the container.
The container must be in a box or basket, in an arrangement of 5-10 containers in a row, in 5 rows.
Context
Challenge is to create production line that will complete the task satisfactorily.
Idea should be innovative. Possible to merge or use components used in wide known solutions.
Allowed materials should be recyclable. DIY methods are also allowed.
Possible to create app for smartphone or computer. Web based interface is allowed.
Connection to cross-cutting areas
Proposal of our challenge is a future product in our company. It may be partially engaged in all mentioned areas: General Sustainability and Industry 4.0.
Precise portion of fluid poured to small containers, will help to reduce the waste in total production.
Industry 4.0 is area in this project, where automated units and digital cameras as supervision system, may increase productivity to very high level
Input
There are several known solutions that enable precise pouring of liquids into small containers. Measuring systems such as micropipettes allow for accurate dosing of even small amounts of liquids. Automatic dosing systems used in industry are based on measurement technology, ensuring high precision and repeatability of the process. Additionally, ultrasound-based technologies can be used for controlled and precise pouring of liquids. Innovative solutions are especially popular in laboratories or the pharmaceutical industry, where precision is crucial to achieving the intended effects. With technological progress, further development and improvement of these methods can be expected in order to manage the liquid pouring process even more effectively and precisely.
