Desired outcome
ABIX (Austrian Bit-Experts) is a cutting-edge technology company specialized in providing expert solutions in the field of embedded systems and IoT. The team consists of senior level, excellent technicians.
ABIX has developed a high-performance simulator for microprocessors to shorten the development time from months to a few days. The simulator is retargetable, meaning it can be adapted to different microprocessors in short time. This flexibility allows it to be used in various industries and applications, such as telecommunication, automotive, and consumer electronics.
Initial Problem Description
The company has found its initial clients for the newly developed simulator. But instead of buying the solution, most of the clients are interested in getting the simulation results as quickly as possible.
The company has now the challenge to enlarge the customer base and a marketing campaign with fresh ideas and new insights will be the logical next step.
ABIX is really good at selling its services, once they talk to the right people. So the challenge is how to find and address them.
Context
The development time for microprocessors is crucial due to:
● Rapid Advancements: Quick cycles integrate the latest technology.
● Time-to-Market: Being first boosts competitiveness.
● Cost Efficiency: Short cycles minimize R&D expenses.
● Customer Alignment: Faster development meets current needs.
● Competitive Edge: Speedy iterations outpace rivals.
● Lifecycle Management: Quick updates maintain relevance.
● Innovation: Short cycles drive continuous tech improvement.
● Adaptation: Fast development aligns with industry trends.
Connection to cross-cutting areas
The ABIX HiperSIM (high-performance simulator) is a low-level software tool for the development of embedded systems which are used in many different areas. As such it does not specifically connect to cross-cutting areas but any product created using HiperSIM might have relevance in the areas of digitalization, sustainability, etc.
Input
To get a first impression about the company, please have a look at the company website and the website for the simulator:
● Website company: https://www.a-bix.com/about.html
● Website simulator: https://hipersim.a-bix.com/
For the kick-off-meeting you can expect an introduction of the company and the simulator.
As the subject of this challenge is very technical, ABIX wants to encourage the team to ask any question.
Marketing campaigns can only be successful if the team will receive the best possible support. ABIX commits to provide this support throughout the project.
Expectations
ABIX expects:
● A marketing concept: What kind of content is necessary on the website and what kind of content will be published when, where, what, and why. Important for us is also the identification of customer segments, who can be reached and motivated to draw interest to the ABIX HiperSIM simulator product.
● Mutual learning experience with the students and researchers.
Desired Team Profile
ABIX is looking forward to a diverse, cross-functional team, which is open to communicate and discuss upcoming questions with the staff. A background in marketing, sales, business administration would be helpful. A background in digital web marketing would be very welcomed.
Additional Information
As a small company we can not finance large media campaigns. Therefore a mixture of a paid and organic campaign is aimed at.
We want to invite you to work with us on a really important project, helping ABIX to successfully take the next step on our digital marketing journey. Learning from your work is the motivation to publish this challenge. But we will ensure that we share our practical experiences with you. This way both of us will benefit most.
